Care & Use
Cooking:
- Preheat your pan: Preheat the pan on medium-high heat, then lower to low-medium when cooking for a seamless experience with less sticking and even cooking. Avoid preheating for more than 5 minutes before adding ingredients.
- Add oil or butter: Add oil or butter to the pan and heat until shimmering, but not smoking. A light coating is all you need.
- Get cooking: Once preheated with oil or butter, add your ingredients. For optimal performance, quicker cooking times, and an even finish, bring ingredients to room temperature before cooking.
- Adjust heat as needed: Cast iron retains heat exceptionally well, so lower the heat settings while cooking when needed to avoid overcooking.
- Use the right utensils: Cook with wooden, silicone, or nylon utensils. Metal utensils may scratch the enamel finish.
Cleaning:
- Allow your pan to return to room temperature before running cold water over it to prevent damage to the enamel coating.
- Hand wash only: Clean with warm water, dish soap, and a non-abrasive sponge or dish towel. Avoid using the dishwasher to maintain your cookware’s longevity.
- Avoid metal scrubbing pads or harsh chemicals, as they may damage the pan’s surface.
- If food is stuck, simmer soapy water over low heat, then gently remove residue with a sponge, non-abrasive scrubber, or soft brush. Rinse and repeat if needed.
What To Avoid:
- Do not heat empty enameled cookware on the stovetop.
- Do not use metal utensils, as they can scratch the cookware surface.
- Do not use citrus-based cleaners, as they may dull the exterior gloss.
- Do not stack enameled cookware directly. Use pot protectors or cookware pads to prevent chipping.
- Do not use enameled cookware on campfires or in microwaves.
- Do not use cookware on uncontrolled heat sources such as charcoal grills or wood pellet grills.
Storage:
- Silicone Storage Clip Included: Always place the silicone clip between the lid and rim during storage.
- Benefits:
- Reduces friction between the lid and cookware.
- Protects the rim from wear.
- Allows air circulation.
- Helps prevent moisture buildup.
- Important: Do not store cookware with the lid fully closed unless the silicone clip is in place.
